Natural Pecan Butter


With peanuts and almonds getting all the love lately, I thought it would be nice to give a nod to another awesome nut — the pecan! So delicious and we enjoyed incorporating it into another recipe to be revealed later this week!

Slightly adapted from: 

3 servings (1/3 cup pecan butter)

1 cup raw pecans

Add pecans to food processor and blend. Every few minutes (or less), use a rubber spatula to scrape the edges of the bowl, in a downward motion. Depending upon how the pecans are behaving, I would alternate between pulsing and letting the processor run for a minute or two at a time. The pecan butter will become smooth after 15 – 20 minutes of processing.
