This time of year is - quite literally - nuts for all of us. If you are hosting festivities for Thanksgiving and the winter holidays that follow, hats off to you. Your willingness to welcome diverse personalities, energy levels, and notoriously picky eaters makes you the glue that holds your community together. Our family has enjoyed a variety of Thanksgiving traditions - from the perfect oven-roasted turkey to a simple chicken casserole (because simple can absolutely be fun), so we truly understand that a meaningful holiday is whatever makes you happy. If you have the opportunity to spend time with loved ones, or are treasuring some time to yourself, we hope your Thanksgiving is a special start to the holiday season.
If you find yourself a little worn out from playing host and hostess, we wanted to give you a treat for breakfast the next morning - something that tastes like you spent a little extra time in the kitchen. Shhhh...you really didn't. No need to tell anyone. With a little twist from the original Coffee Cake Pecan Crescent Rolls, this new breakfast treat will have your house smelling like a cozy bakery. Use some of the leftover pecans that didn't quite make it into the pecan pie this year, mix up some filling, coat with browned butter and we think this will be a new tradition in your household for years to come.
Would you like to save this?
[yumprint-recipe id='19']Serve this buffet-style so guests can grab-and-go (Black Friday shopping, anyone?) or make a pile and pair with eggs, bacon, and Bushytail Southern Pecan Coffee. Here's a fun twist - these can double as a lighter dessert if you really need a break from pie this weekend. Who doesn't love a recipe that can serve two purposes? And, yes, dessert IS a purpose in our book.
From our family to yours, have a safe Thanksgiving holiday and be thankful for your #hearthhealthhappiness!
