Happy Labor Day, folks! As we enjoy this three-day weekend (for most), I'm over here practicing my touchdown dance. College football is BACK! I almost thought I wasn't going to survive these last few weeks of summer, but found some motivation when I used it as a reason to get items checked off my to-do list. This gal was like a mini tornado trying to get to the weekend, knowing that between September and January, our weekends are going to be
h-e-c-t-i-c.
To celebrate, Cliff and I made a dish that our dear family friend introduced us to a few years ago...Slow Cooker Buffalo Chicken Sliders. We have made it a few times per football season ever since. It is so easy to make, hearty for appetites both large and small, and not terribly unhealthy (at ALL). I don't know about you, but I like to eat what I want during football season, without gaining the unnecessary weight. Each year is a work in progress, but that's "ok!"
Buffalo sauce + chicken + ranch is also husband approved, so you know it's a winner. 😉
Would you like to save this?
The original recipe we used doesn't seem to be available online anymore, but we wanted to give credit to the original author (in recipe below) and Susan, who was the "hostess with the mostess" and shared this new family favorite with us. We hope your family will enjoy it as much as we do!
