Easy Pico de Gallo

Fresh pico de gallo enhanced with a hint of lime, tang of vinegar, and full-bodied flavor of fresh herbs and veggies. Use as a salsa, addition to a salad, or incorporated with a homemade burrito bowl!

Ingredients
  

  • 2 medium tomatoes diced, seed membrane removed (optional)
  • 3 scallions diced
  • 2 tablespoons cilantro chopped
  • 2 tablespoons distilled white vinegar
  • ½ teaspoon kosher sea salt

Method
 

  1. Combine ingredients and serve immediately, or allow to chill in refrigerator for a few hours.

Notes

Removing the tomato seed membranes is optional. Technically, this is what supplies the majority of the tomato flavor in dishes. Since I prefer a more subtle taste, removing the membranes provides just the right balance for my palate. Test it out and see what works for you!
